Happy Anniversary

After my successful baking marathon for my gorgeous god daughter’s christening, I can now sit back and relax and craft ( or in my case attempt to craft ).

It is my eldest god daughter’s wedding anniversary approaching and I had two idea’s in my head that I wanted to create. Am almost happy to say the card’s came out pretty close to my image.

I am undecided on what one to use ! The couple and Paris does have significant meaning to them both, But I have to admit I do like the cute couple looking into the sunset. I am also pleased with how the sunset finished as I am totally useless with Distress Ink blending, I have tried all sorts of paper and this was watercolour paper.

All of the dies are from slow boat and unbranded but 1 love them

Wish Jar Part 2

Remember my previous post of WISH JARS ?

Well I have finally finished my home made one at a fraction of the cost they sell for.
I bought the jar for £2.50  and printed out  jar label and A4 display poster.
Tags I admit were bought but I did get 50 for £5 as they look much better than what I could make….
Then I had a brainwave and looked on Ebay where I got rubber stamps, ink pads & lovely tag cards for future use as have a couple more jars to make …

Family Tree

Family Tree MDF Craft

As well as making Scrabble Art Frames for friends & family, I was asked if I could make a Family Tree.
My first attempt with painting it was awful and no way was I happy. So I got some spray paint and Tadah much more happier with this now.
It can be time consuming making these crafts but I enjoy doing them.
What I love is that there can be many variations with it. i.e white, gold, silver or bronze hearts can be usedI have 2 different trees and to be honest am not sure what one I prefer as both are lovely. All you need to make this :- MDF Family Tree , Box frame  and Paints
Here are some of my finished designs
Happy crafting !

Wish Jars

I came across these Wish Jars when someone I follow on twitter posted they had one for a Baby Shower

How different are these ? I love them as can be for any occasion – Baby Shower, Wedding, Christening …
BUT have you seen how much these sell for  £15 – £20 !
I am pretty sure these can be made much cheaper, after all, all you need need is a jar, possibly from £1 shop or even a empty candle jar ( yankee candle may work well ) , some ribbon and make the label  ( for jar lid ) and tickets yourself and print….Voila.. a home made Wish Jar at a fraction of the cost
Well I am going to have a go at this as already have a template ready to print 🙂
The image below is not my handy work but gives you an idea how simple they are to make
