I have been so busy with finishing off Christmas Eve Box No2 that I have been unable to do any crafting, unless you count making christmas eve box crafting as consists of wood glue and paint ??
So as I had a spare free day I decided to make some Christmas Cards for family members and I will admit that I had mental block to start with. I had everything ready to go, some die cuts ready and then I hit a slump. What makes it more frustrating is that I have some dies I cannot use as I need my new fang dangled machine which Santa is bringing me… Not to worry as come Boxing day I will be well away 🙂
So here are 4 cards I made and as always any feedback greatfully received
Have a great weekend Everyone 🙂
Yes sorry to say my favourite colour has reappeared !
Supplies :- Tattered Lace Snow Man Die, Reindeer & Flag Die – Clearly Besotted,
Bauble Dies ( from The Range ), Inks – Distress Inks
I had an unexpected day off today which gave me a chance to try out the new dies I got yesterday.
The Penguin was so fiddly I almost threw it in the bin but maybe one weekend I will give it another go…
Now the Reindeer I love ! And I have to say I think I have found my new favourite Christmas colour of Raspberry.
As I did not have brownish colour card, I used my distress ink to get the colour I was happy with and same the for the lights.
What do you think ?

After making the Baby Boy card, I thought let’s play around with new my dies.
I started off well then hit a mental block so decided to stop. Maybe that was a right decision or merely the fact I was in agony with my elbow (tennis & golf elbow double whammy ).
I just love these my new dies from Tattered Lace, and of course added bonus when over half price in sale.
First off was the cute gingerbread men just something about them that remind’s me it’s christmas. ( Please excuse the bit of card on Oh What Fun sentiment it is definately not stuck on )
Next up was the Elf, now I will admit this had me stumped as I had to cut and layer it and I will blow my own trumpet here and say for my first attempt it’s ok, not 100% perfect and maybe looks a bit patchy but for me its a miracle I did it ! Now just to add the eyes. Opps forgot to mention I used Distress Ink to colour the white card.
Lastly was the embossed Let It Snow ( yes I am singing the tune in my head but only The Overtones version ), I had help here as folder would not fit my machine, but how stunning does this look ? With the cute snow people or is it snow couple I have no idea ?? The embossing would look simple and effective without the added couple.
Hope you like

Well here it is .. my completed Baby Girl card.
My cardstock finally arrived from C&C so could finally use my top score board. Oh my days how easy is that gadget ? !
The backing paper was printed off via Tattered Lace website, the letter blocks was created by using Distress Ink – Spun Sugar & Mulled Lavender.
Word cloud was used with CB Stamps from several sets
Took me quite a while to make but I have to say I am very happy with this.
Supplies :- Hammered Cardstock C&C, Distress Ink – Spun Sugar & Mulled Lavender,
Backing Paper – Tattered Lace
I am planning to make a New Baby Girl card ( well baby would not be old would she lol ) so I decided to print off some paper from Tattered Lace website and now I am stuck at which one to use.
I have an image in my head which I scribbled down on note paper but as usual it will either not match my image in my head which is what happens often.
The idea I have is to use a printed sheet as backing, make 8 little tags which will spell out Baby Girl, then my brain started to kick in ( not sure if good thing or not ) and I came up with another 2 ideas…Spell out Baby Girl in squares to try and resemble building blocks OR easy option just make 2 simple tags with Congratulations on one and Baby Girl on another, which is easiest option for me but not as challenging and I feel i need to push myself more and to use one of the bottom three and stamps words ie Precious, Little One, Baby Girl, Tons of Hugs, Welcome etc in pinkish colours ( like a word cloud )
Are you getting my image ??
Well I am now undecided on what backing paper to use, so I guess trim them all and see what looks best and hopefully my idea will work. I did have a beautiful pram image but then my printer decided to print it in various other colours, not what the image I was looking at on screen. Odd as cartridge was full and I clicked best for printing options…So thats another job for Monday to see if I can get it printed correctly.
