Finally got round to making 3 cards today 🙂
Happy Anniversary, New Baby and Birthday Cards
Really love the sparkle effect on Baby and Wine cards which I dont think shows up on this post sadly. I will admit the Anniversary card I did was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest which I thought was lovely, so all credit goes to the person who did that card.
Hopefully the recipients will like them.
I have never attempted stamp masking before so I was very happy with these results. Ok so the bow ties are missing a bit but nothing a fine black pen can sort out.
Am sure the recipients will enjoy the cards soon as I get around to colouring them
Am seeing all these wonderful Eclipse Cards in pretty much most groups I am in on Facebook. I was resisting ordering these 5cm letters but gave in and I am so glad I did. I adore these dies and can see these will be used very often.
So time to give them a go ! I already had this rainbow background already done as was using it for another card idea which just never happened but maybe that was a blessing ?
Anyway this is the outcome.. I just love these eclipse cards and already thinking of christmas ideas for these !
Supplies :- Distress Oxides, General sentiment stamp, 5cm Alphabet Cutting Dies
So now with christmas is over with, now begins the mad rush of birthdays I have in next few months. I decided to start today with a card for my god daughter’s upcoming first birthday and for a special little man in my life.
For my god daughter’s card I decided to go with a Fairy theme as I know she has a fairy birthday cake on order so it seemed fitting. For the background I grabbed a piece of laminated sheet ( as I have no acetate ) and put Distress Oxides Worn Lipstick and Pickled Raspberry on it and spritzed with water and placed white card on top. This is first time I have done this and I am very pleased with result.
Such a shame the camera did not pick up the gorgeous glitter from Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pens. Again this was my first time using these and again I am so impressed with these and so easy to use. I have my eye on 2 more other sets ! This set was Spring / Summer.
For the special little man in my life I decided to use the Space Explorer stamp and die set. Again I am not that brilliant at colouring but i gave it a go … I know I have room for ALOT of improvement but I was pleased and hopefully little man will be too. The pens I used were Nuvo Alcohol Markers.
Well I had all good intentions to use my fab Breast Cancer Awareness stamps and die cut this morning but just could not get an image to create this…typical as all week I had some good images in mind, I must start to jot these down !
Anyway, as my mum’s birthday is looming as she loves Poppies, I decided to give this set another go. Have to admit I am pleased with the outcome and am sure she will love it.
I then came up with a Nautical theme, I have no idea why but came up with this design.
Hope you like 🙂
Supplies Poppy :- Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners Victorian Floral Poppy & Die, Inks :- Distress Ink : Shaded Lilac and Scattered Straw, Memento Dew Drop Tuxedo Black & Cottage Ivy, Happy Birthday Embossing folder. Dovecraft 3D Cream Pearl Effects
Supplies Nautical :- Nautical Stencil, Distress Ink : Tumbled Glass, Memento Dew Drops Inks : Danube Blue, Bahama Blue & Summer Sky. Stamp & Die Set : Clearly Besotted Stamps : Best Dad, Square Stitch Die
As it is my mum’s birthday soon and her favourite flower is Poppies… I was pleased to find a stamp set & die set for a good price.
Well today I had a rare day off and thought I would give them a go… how disappointed I am with this set. Firstly the stamps are not individual stamps, nor would then attach to a stamp block or my WRMK…. so I had to work blind with them.
First attempt was stamp image and place paper on top then use die cut and second attempt was to use distress ink on to paper, place die on top and then stamp outline in black and place paper on top….must be an easier way to use these stamps surely ? Of course there is … means I have to cut them out and add foam or stix 2 on top *sighs*
I honestly thought given they are Sheena Douglass I would be impressed but alas I am not.
Well next Sunday is my gorgeous godson 2nd Birthday, where has my little man gone ?
As he is dinosaur mad I really hope he likes his card. I was lucky enough to find this die set on Ebay ( don’t you just love Ebay ? I do ! )
Next weekend I will be busy making dinosaur cupcake toppers and cupcake wrappers, so if all goes well I will post my efforts, I say efforts as never done these before so wish me luck !
