A lovely 3 day weekend thanks to a Bank Holiday Monday and I have so much to make. I wanted to make a start on my dad’s Father’s Day card and was due a die delivery today which is so appropriate for him but alas did not arrive, so I decided to crack on with an order someone asked me to make…. 25 Baby Shower Tags with specific colours of Blue, Pink and Silver.
I had alot of fun making these and when I sent over a proof of these they loved it ! which makes me a happy bunny. I will admit I have an alphabet stamp set but they were so fiddly so out came the laptop and printer which enabled me to create the personalised tags.
So tomorrow will see me doing more printing of background papers as have so many ideas in my head of what I would like to make 🙂
Just an quick update on the Shaker Cards I made yesterday… Firstly I am still pleased with how they finished and it actually worked BUT was lacking something … yes COLOUR ! So I amended the Mother’s Day Card and redid God Daughter’s card.
Looking back in hindsight I was not overly happy with result as I said am I pleased I actually made some after putting it off for a while.
So here my 2nd attempts… To be honest still deciding about my God Daughter’s card
What do you all think ?
Well today I finally took the plunge and had a go at making Shaker Cards. Now I will admit they are not high standard by any means but I am pleased I actually did it !
As I did not have any acetate sheets or gems, I improvised. I laminated a sheet and used table confetti and pretty pleased with the results.
There are so many tutorials and video’s to look at and watch, I found myself getting very confused with it all. Best one’s I have to say are :- HERE and THIS ONE
I will admit when I got all my required craft stash sorted I sat there for 10 minutes with a blank mind as totally forgot what the video’s did so made it up as I went along and then realised I had remembered !
Here are my first 3 attempts… I know they need colour and put onto backing card but this was all trial and error to see if theory would work 🙂
Am sorry for not listing supplies this is purely because I forgot to write them down
I just recently bought WRMK Precision Press Stamping Tool from CraftWorld after reading so many fab reviews…Where has this tool been since I started !!
I know there are other varieties of this stamping tool out there and I am not going to make any comparisons as I don’t own any others nor would it be right of me to do so.
So what made me buy this ? I suffer from Tennis & Golfers elbow and after a while I get excruciating pains and have to stop, Not any more with this handy tool. I must admit my stamping is now so much better and so much easier. There are so many pro’s for this product…. Light, Compact. perfect stamping, can easily re ink an image if not correct and not have to worry about lining stamp up, layer stamps, card did not move when stamping …need I go on ?
If anyone is thinking about getting this or any other stamping tool my advice is DO IT !
It was so easy to stamp and I did 50 Wish Jar Little Notes within approx 2 hours from scratch.
Supplies :- WRMK, Tag Die, Stamp Set – Scribbles Flowers CBS, Inks – Pickled Raspberry ( Distress Ink ) & Memento Dewdrops : Dandelion, Tangelo and Tuxedo Black
I have a Wish Jar to make for a Christening soon and coming up for a design was baffling me as really did not want the traditional “baby” stamps or dies on the tags. After looking through Google it then hit me … Scribbled Flowers !
This was my first mock attempt and although I am pleased with them I do however have 50 …yes 50 tags to make ! I will be so happy when my WRMK Precision Press arrives as be able to make 50 tags all with same design.
I then decided to keep playing around with this set and made this A Little Note Card
What do you think ??
Supplies :- Tag Die, Square & Rectangle Dies, Stamp Set – Scribbles Flowers CBS, Inks – Tea Dye & Pickled Raspberry ( Distress Ink ) & Memento Dewdrops : Dandelion, Tangelo, Cottage Ivy, Bamboo Leaves, Pistachio and Tuxedo Black
Am so pleased with myself. As a still relatively newbie to crafting / card making I think I have come along away. What started off as a simple reindeer stamp card I have slowly gotten better, Yes I still have alot of room for improvement but for me this is a great milestone.
I am so pleased with how I have finished the last few cards for family members. I will admit I know there is a slight mistake with the Nutcracker card but overall I am besides myself, just glad I got them all made as now begins the hectic month of Decemeber for me.
I also made some tags for Snowman Soup which i will be making very soon.
What do you think ? Have I come along way ?
As always any feedback greatly welcomed 🙂
Supplies :- Sweet Dixie Dies, CBS – Banner Die, Distress Inks
A slightly different post to the crafting or baking posts that I normally do …
My gorgeous godson is now at the age where he can really get stuck in with crafts and enjoy them.
So yesterday we had great fun making Halloween bats, pumpkins and marshmallows pops.
All so easy to do and did not cost a fortune but main thing was we had FUN and created happy memories.
The marshmallow pops was very simple ( and much easier than the dreaded cake pops ), I found this via a blog so I will not take credit for this activity, and so easy to do. :- simply cut small hole in marshmallow, insert stick, put in freezer for 5 minutes to help set, melt chocolate then dip in the marshmallow and add sprinkles.
The bat and pumpkin craft was simply draw outline and let my godson loose with glue ( pritt stick ) and tissue paper. The finished result is now proudly on mum & dads fridge.
Happy Halloween Everyone
