I just love all things Elf / Elves at christmas, it sums up the magical season for me.
Again these are all from slow boat ( even the stamp ) and cut very well. I did find these tricky to do as so delicate to hold let alone colour in. For the colouring I used Nuvo Alcohol Markers
These will be going on kids christmas sacks just hope they like them !
Just need to add hole and twine and job done 🙂
I had so much fun making these crafts with my Godson. Plus I think the candle makes a lovely keepsake for his parents.
So easy to make and so inexpensive too. For the candle artwork, we bought a candle for £1, some tissue paper and wax paper. Let the children draw on the tissue paper, wrap it around the candle with wax paper over the top, then heat it up with either hairdryer or heat tool. I will be honest and say I did do a tester one and found better effects with pens rather than crayons.
The Tree was simply a square piece of paper, folded in half ( to resemble a triangle ) then simply cut towards the fold. Open up and bend over and add decorations.
We also did the Candy Cane Hearts, so had a lovely time together crafting 🙂
Hope you enjoy. And incase I don’t get a chance ” Merry Christmas ” to everyone and have a brilliant festive season 🙂
Well we gave it a go today and this was our finished result. Am so pleased that these Candy Cane Hearts were a success.
So easy to do to ! Simply heat oven, we had ours at Gas Mark 6 /7, placed the candy canes into a heart shape and popped in oven middle shelf for approx 90 seconds. Quickly moulded the canes and left to cool. Once cooled completely, melted white chocolate and poured into heart shape then added christmas sprinkles. I cheated slightly as popped them into freezer for 10 minutes to harden.
Such a fun activity to do with kids – give it a go !
Now I am all prepped for Christmas I can now enjoy the last few days crafting with my godson.
We are going to decorate a paper christmas tree, such an easy craft activity as we know most kids lose interest if its a long winded activity. All you need is paper, glue, scissors and few bits n bobs to decorate it.
We are also going to get adventurous and attempt to create a Kids Artwork Candle. This looks a lovely keepsake to create. I could not find any white candles so I have to attempt this with ivory candle, tissue paper and wax paper. The technique looks so simple so wish us luck !
Below are pictures of what we will be making and not our creations
A slightly different post to the crafting or baking posts that I normally do …
My gorgeous godson is now at the age where he can really get stuck in with crafts and enjoy them.
So yesterday we had great fun making Halloween bats, pumpkins and marshmallows pops.
All so easy to do and did not cost a fortune but main thing was we had FUN and created happy memories.
The marshmallow pops was very simple ( and much easier than the dreaded cake pops ), I found this via a blog so I will not take credit for this activity, and so easy to do. :- simply cut small hole in marshmallow, insert stick, put in freezer for 5 minutes to help set, melt chocolate then dip in the marshmallow and add sprinkles.
The bat and pumpkin craft was simply draw outline and let my godson loose with glue ( pritt stick ) and tissue paper. The finished result is now proudly on mum & dads fridge.
Happy Halloween Everyone
Just in past few years these have become a big hit here in England.
This is one i did for my Godson last year. Took alot of work and pretty much every weekend for a month but i think it paid off.
Have another one to make this year, well assemble and paint this year, so looks like i will be busy for at least another 4 weekends.
Shame i did take photo of the sides as they had little gingerbread men and snowflakes on
If anyone is interested in this here are a few ideas as to what to put in
Well i am still playing around with the stamps and ink pads and slowly getting use to them and getting confident.
Decided to have a go at Santa’s Key and have to say i am impressed with my first attempt at these
The yellow key in picture is an example of how it could look painted
