As I am now all done for future birthdays, I thought I would have a play around with christmas card designs. Yes I know it’s only February but believe me christmas will soon be upon us !
Am sure you can guess I enjoy playing around with these large alphabet dies ( and learning all the time ) but I am very happy with outcome of this card and pretty confident I will be making bulk of these.
Firstly I would like to apologise to anyone that follows my blog for my recent silence. I have been extremely busy with work, family, crafts and Christmas.
Over the pass few weekends I have made Christmas Cards for family and God Children. To be honest since last year I have seen a slight improvement in my crafting although I will be honest and say I am still nowhere near as good as alot of crafters out there but I am pleased with the cards I have made.
This will more than likely be my last blog post of 2017 as for the next few weekends I am busy so I will bid you all a Merry Christmas & All the best wishes for 2018. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and family time. Stay safe and see you next year
Hope you like the cards 🙂
I just love all things Elf / Elves at christmas, it sums up the magical season for me.
Again these are all from slow boat ( even the stamp ) and cut very well. I did find these tricky to do as so delicate to hold let alone colour in. For the colouring I used Nuvo Alcohol Markers
These will be going on kids christmas sacks just hope they like them !
Just need to add hole and twine and job done 🙂
So sorry for delay in posting, I have been very busy with upcoming Christening.
I was asked to make 60 favour boxes which took me a weekend to complete. I then also decided to make a start on Christmas Cards using dies from slow boat from China. Have to say I am very impressed with how these came out.
Here are my makes from couple weekends. Hope you like them
Next weekend I will be very busy making 3 Cupcake Bouquets, Macarons and 2 Tiered Cupcakes for my soon to be god daughter 🙂
Christening Favour Boxes
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Mine was quiet as got the dreaded bug that has been going around and was pretty much laid up for 3 days, but cannot grumble as many others are battling more serious things than a cold – Bless them.
Now the festive season is over I can now get back to my love of crafting and baking. I must have been on the good list as got so many lovely crafting stuff and cannot wait to try them out on my new big Grand Calibur, so much so that I may have a slight wait as just treated myself to some new embossing folders and die cuts.
Problem is they are coming all way over from China ( alot cheaper than UK ) but will be so worth the wait and already looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing except using my wonderful stuff. But happier news Hobbycraft has a sale and just got some Magnetic Die Storage Box with Inserts
I have not made any New Years Resolutions just merely to try and improve with my crafting and hopefully make some wonderful things.
Also looking forward to a new arrival in family this month as my God Daughter is expecting her 2nd baby.
Sorry this is not much of a post but wishing you all A Happy New Year
I had so much fun making these crafts with my Godson. Plus I think the candle makes a lovely keepsake for his parents.
So easy to make and so inexpensive too. For the candle artwork, we bought a candle for £1, some tissue paper and wax paper. Let the children draw on the tissue paper, wrap it around the candle with wax paper over the top, then heat it up with either hairdryer or heat tool. I will be honest and say I did do a tester one and found better effects with pens rather than crayons.
The Tree was simply a square piece of paper, folded in half ( to resemble a triangle ) then simply cut towards the fold. Open up and bend over and add decorations.
We also did the Candy Cane Hearts, so had a lovely time together crafting 🙂
Hope you enjoy. And incase I don’t get a chance ” Merry Christmas ” to everyone and have a brilliant festive season 🙂
Well we gave it a go today and this was our finished result. Am so pleased that these Candy Cane Hearts were a success.
So easy to do to ! Simply heat oven, we had ours at Gas Mark 6 /7, placed the candy canes into a heart shape and popped in oven middle shelf for approx 90 seconds. Quickly moulded the canes and left to cool. Once cooled completely, melted white chocolate and poured into heart shape then added christmas sprinkles. I cheated slightly as popped them into freezer for 10 minutes to harden.
Such a fun activity to do with kids – give it a go !
