Well next Sunday is my gorgeous godson 2nd Birthday, where has my little man gone ?
As he is dinosaur mad I really hope he likes his card. I was lucky enough to find this die set on Ebay ( don’t you just love Ebay ? I do ! )
Next weekend I will be busy making dinosaur cupcake toppers and cupcake wrappers, so if all goes well I will post my efforts, I say efforts as never done these before so wish me luck !
Supplies : Card – create and craft, Die Cuts – Ebay, Stamps – The Range, Ink – Memmento Dew Drops Danube Blue
After a very manic week I am slowly getting all my happy mail ( well apart from a seller in China that sent me 4 embossing folders instead of 8 ! but am on the case with that ) and a lovely rare day off, I decided to play around with new dies, folders and stamps.
I have been after a Ribbon Awareness stamp for what seems ages and finally got a stamp set, although ribbon not as big as I would like, I must not complain.
These are nowhere finished to my satisfaction but as I said am only playing around.
Supplies :- WRMK Precision Stamp Tool, CBS Colour Chameleon Stamp Set, Newton’s Nook Support Stamp Set, Memento Dew Drops – Grape Jelly, Lulu Lavender, Angel Pink, Tuxedo Black, Distress Inks – Spun Sugar & Pickled Raspberry
I just recently bought WRMK Precision Press Stamping Tool from CraftWorld after reading so many fab reviews…Where has this tool been since I started !!
I know there are other varieties of this stamping tool out there and I am not going to make any comparisons as I don’t own any others nor would it be right of me to do so.
So what made me buy this ? I suffer from Tennis & Golfers elbow and after a while I get excruciating pains and have to stop, Not any more with this handy tool. I must admit my stamping is now so much better and so much easier. There are so many pro’s for this product…. Light, Compact. perfect stamping, can easily re ink an image if not correct and not have to worry about lining stamp up, layer stamps, card did not move when stamping …need I go on ?
If anyone is thinking about getting this or any other stamping tool my advice is DO IT !
It was so easy to stamp and I did 50 Wish Jar Little Notes within approx 2 hours from scratch.
Supplies :- WRMK, Tag Die, Stamp Set – Scribbles Flowers CBS, Inks – Pickled Raspberry ( Distress Ink ) & Memento Dewdrops : Dandelion, Tangelo and Tuxedo Black
I have a Wish Jar to make for a Christening soon and coming up for a design was baffling me as really did not want the traditional “baby” stamps or dies on the tags. After looking through Google it then hit me … Scribbled Flowers !
This was my first mock attempt and although I am pleased with them I do however have 50 …yes 50 tags to make ! I will be so happy when my WRMK Precision Press arrives as be able to make 50 tags all with same design.
I then decided to keep playing around with this set and made this A Little Note Card
What do you think ??
Supplies :- Tag Die, Square & Rectangle Dies, Stamp Set – Scribbles Flowers CBS, Inks – Tea Dye & Pickled Raspberry ( Distress Ink ) & Memento Dewdrops : Dandelion, Tangelo, Cottage Ivy, Bamboo Leaves, Pistachio and Tuxedo Black
So today I decided to finally play around with my new GC Machine.
I have seen various tutorials on YouTube for Embossing Folders and Inks i.e Here and This one, Looks pretty easy right ? ! Wrong …was nothing but a major failure. I followed what they said and 2 hours later I admitted defeat with this.
I had tried with Distress Inks and Memento Dew Drops, I inked raised side and not so raised side…Failure each time. I noticed in one of the videos she just used A plate & Raspberry plate do we not need Tan Embossing mat also ????
So many videos using this technique some with tan embossing mat others not… all very confusing…
So I am asking for a BIG HELP here…. for anyone who has a Grand Calibur and has had successful results with embossing folders and inking, please could you let me know exactly what you did please ? Tanning mat or not ?? What technique worked best ….
Please excuse the awful colours I just grabbed first 2 colours at hand, plus I only have 2 embossing folders at moment ( rest are on way )
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Mine was quiet as got the dreaded bug that has been going around and was pretty much laid up for 3 days, but cannot grumble as many others are battling more serious things than a cold – Bless them.
Now the festive season is over I can now get back to my love of crafting and baking. I must have been on the good list as got so many lovely crafting stuff and cannot wait to try them out on my new big Grand Calibur, so much so that I may have a slight wait as just treated myself to some new embossing folders and die cuts.
Problem is they are coming all way over from China ( alot cheaper than UK ) but will be so worth the wait and already looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing except using my wonderful stuff. But happier news Hobbycraft has a sale and just got some Magnetic Die Storage Box with Inserts
I have not made any New Years Resolutions just merely to try and improve with my crafting and hopefully make some wonderful things.
Also looking forward to a new arrival in family this month as my God Daughter is expecting her 2nd baby.
Sorry this is not much of a post but wishing you all A Happy New Year
