Testing Rubber Trick

So like a few other or maybe alot of people, i have had the dreaded result of when stamping the image is not being solid.

Thanks to Paperpuff (check her blog out its fab), she mentioned the rubber / eraser trick.

I rubbed firmly, stamped, wiped repeated process quite a few times then on last attempt just wiped stamp and left to dry and re inked.

I decided to give it a go and as you can see after a few attempts the image is getting better. Will see if it improves more when my stamping mat arrives, fingers crossed

Have no idea what the bear is doing there  probably decided to have a nosey or say hello lol

Crafting Mental Block

So you decide to make a card and hit a mental block (to which I blame my age) or the image you have in your head never turns out like the  finished product and you feel deflated.

I have wasted so many cards as went belly up (to be polite) so now I have learnt, took me a while I know, to grab plain paper and whack up a design and if it looks half decent then I can copy it to card

Anyway  what do you all do ? Do you Google your stamp set for ideas or take a look on Pinterest and grab ideas there ? Look for inspiration on blogs you follow ?

So many great boards to follow on Pinterest ( CBS ) is my favourite one as have ideas for every stamp set plus helps as I have a lot of their stamp sets

But is looking for ideas a great way as not sure about you but I come across cards that I do not have stamps for and I want and then my bank balance takes a hit !

I must be more positive and think NO I do NOT need the set but easier said than done I guess….

Morning Makes

Well as I had today off I decided to be bit more creative.

I have seen so many gorgeous cards being made by fab creative people that do inspire me but the image in my head does not always appear as end result – How many others have this problem ? So frustrating even when i follow guides but I must not let this get me down as still a newbie.

Did a couple of cards, just love the CBS Lets Prance and Elves stamp set. My colouring is getting there and I must admit I do enjoy using Prismacolor pencils. Only thing I wish I could of changed was background on the Elves card, but I know next time to do this.

The tags I had problems with as i just could not get my Inking to be solid, even though I tried the Versamark trick. So anyone who has tips please let me know.

Anyway here are my morning makes …. any feedback much appreciated as always

Supplies :- CBS Lets Prance, Elves Stamp Set & Baby Shower Stamp + Die Sets, Memento Ink Pads, Prismacolor pencils

As you know I got some fab goodies for my birthday, as I had free day I finally got around to trying the gorgeous Spellbinders Sapphire  Mini Die Cutting Machine out.

I made 4 tags ( 2 christmas and 2 wish jar baby shower tags )

What do you think ? I was pleased as I also attempted to use a fab little tip I found on Clearly Besotted website regarding How to Align Stamps

I do not have a glue tape pen so good old fashion pritt stick did the job when sticking the paper to tag

Supplies :-
Nellies Multi Frame Die Cut, North Pole Paper Pack, Jingle Bells CB Stamps & Die , You’re A Hoot Stamp & Die , CB Flag Sentiments 3 Die & Memento Dew Drops

Busy Busy ….

So it is my Birthday …. and how did i spend it ?

Well i was asked to make 50 yes 50 Cake Pops – the bane of my life for a christening. I swear this is the last time i make these things. Yes they may look cute and all that but they are so time consuming to make and can make me mad when they fall off the stick when dipping into candy melts. NO MORE !!

25 were Vanilla and 25 Red Velvet

But to make up for this hard work look at the goodies i got for my birthday !

Now i know some may say or think that the Die Cutter is small but honestly for a newbie like me this is perfect, but i have decided to splash out maybe next year if all goes well on a slightly bigger die cutter.

Christmas Eve Box

Just in past few years these have become a big hit here in England.

This is one i did for my Godson last year. Took alot of work and pretty much every weekend for a month but i think it paid off.

Have another one to make this year, well assemble and paint this year, so looks like i will be busy for at least another  4 weekends.

Shame i did take photo of the sides as they had little gingerbread men and snowflakes on

If anyone is interested in this here are a few ideas as to what to put in

Prancin’ Robin

So I have some more lovely stamps from Clearly Besotted and will be stocking up as they are closing for a few months ( panic panic lol but I totally understand their reasons so look forward to when they re open ).

As feeling tad under the weather today I could not do much crafting as i wanted to, but  I did do 2 christmas tags.

As I said previously I am by no means an expert on colouring ( hopefully when I get my Prismacolor pencils I will improve ) But I did like what i achieved.
