Recipe :- ( http://chocolatechocolateandmore.com/3-minute-fudge/ )
1 can Sweetened Condensed milk (14 ounces) – I used carnation condensed milk as could not find sweetend
2 cups (1 12 ounce bag) semi-sweet chocolate chips – 3 x100g bags + 40g milk chips  ( or any chips – i used milk choc chips )
1 teaspoon vanilla extract -Method :-
Butter a square pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal of set fudge. Set aside.
In a microwave safe 2 quart bowl, heat chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, on high for 1 minute.
Remove from microwave. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir to combine. If needed, heat an additional 30 seconds. Stir until chips are completely melted and chocolate is smooth.
Stir in vanilla extract. Pour fudge into prepared pan. Let fudge cool completely before cutting into 1 inch squares. (you can place in the refrigerator for 1 hour to speed up the process.)
Store in an airtight container. Fudge does not need to be kept refrigerated

Family Tree

Family Tree MDF Craft

As well as making Scrabble Art Frames for friends & family, I was asked if I could make a Family Tree.
My first attempt with painting it was awful and no way was I happy. So I got some spray paint and Tadah much more happier with this now.
It can be time consuming making these crafts but I enjoy doing them.
What I love is that there can be many variations with it. i.e white, gold, silver or bronze hearts can be usedI have 2 different trees and to be honest am not sure what one I prefer as both are lovely. All you need to make this :- MDF Family Tree , Box frame  and Paints
Here are some of my finished designs
Happy crafting !

Rainbow Cake

I have never been brave enough to make this but doesn’t it look delicious ?

Even the colours look vibrant.

I always struggle with colours when baking so tend not to try anything adventurous like this.

In the past i have used food colours ( in the little bottles ) and food gels ( mainly Dr.Oetker ) but turned out to be a failure. Is it worth using food colour paste ? Have never used paste before but if it gives this lovely colour than i will definitely give it a go

Any suggestions greatly appreciated – Thankyou

Christmas Countdown

Ooops my first christmas post – apologies

I know, I know its only June but Christmas will soon be upon us and people probably saying ” it’s ages away yet ” or  ” it’s way to early to be thinking about christmas ”

But i am nearly done for christmas. Family & friends use to laugh at me when i say ” i am almost done ” but it’s true I am almost done.

The trick for me i found was to get the bargains early  ( all year round & have an idea what you want to buy ) and store them away ( if you have the space ) and another fab trick is that i have a Cath Kidson christmas organiser so i can jot down all presents ( and for whom ) and where i have stored them as i often forget. The most valuable trick for me is by being on bargain sites on social media i.e Facebook ( if anyone wants to know what the page is by all means drop me a message )

Honestly the amount i save doing it this way is unreal. As my previous post V Tech Toot Toot Bargain showed how much i saved. Recently i got some The Good Dinosaur bargains in Disney sale, now i totaled it all up and should of cost me £98 but i paid £33. Yes i know some folks are saying ” well you need the money to get the bargains ” this is true and i appreciate them thinking this, but i no means have an endless pit of money – far from it trust me.

I explained to god daughter the reason i do it early and surprise she has now started to buy for christmas as she said ” i now get why you do it and the money you save is unreal ” Yes i save money but money saved is usually spent on more presents – oops

I am not bragging about being almost done for christmas but  just letting you know the bargains are out there 🙂

Happy bargain hunting 🙂

Millie’s Cookies

I first made these at Christmas time and pretty much been making these at least once a month since, thanks to family members always asking me for these.

I have never had a Millies Cookie before but was very surprised when i was told mine were better than the shop ones !

So many variations can be used for these but batches of  choc chip  & smarties  ( not together ) seem to be very popular in my house.

Recipe is so simple and i did find i had to cook then for 20 minutes not 7- 10 as stated in recipe and i make way more than 17 each time.

Give them a go !

Andy Murray – King of Queens

History

Can I just say ……before anyone slates Andy Murray they do well to remember what he has achieved as a BRITISH player and it will  be a long time until it happens again.
To be honest I really cannot see another good British player of Andy’s quality  for a long time. I know we have up and coming players i.e Aljaz Bedene,  Kyle Edmond, Dan Evans, James Ward, Liam Broady, But the question is “will they be as good as Andy ?”… Who knows, but  I hope we do get another british tennis player
Andy has achieved so much for British Tennis and won a heck of a lot more than Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski, and others
I WON’T EVEN credit Andrew Castle or Barry Cowan – their stats may only consist of a few sentances
